The Village of Belford support for Cancer Support
Be part of The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fundraising event in the calendar. On Friday 30th September 2011 from 10 until 1pm the annual Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning and Lunch is taking place at Bell View Resource Centre in Belford.
Last year this national event raised over £8 million, enabling Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. Providing vital medical, emotional, practical and financial support, pushing for a better cancer care system. For anyone, at any time, for as long as they need, giving people the strength and energy to face the fight and get through it.
Today, more people in the UK are living with cancer and one in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives. Cancer affects us all and we can all help to make people's experience of it better.
There will be all the usual stalls selling Jam, Cake, Bric a Brac and Books, along with a Raffle and "Whiskey Squares".
If you are unable to attend Bell View can still accept donations for Macmillan Cancer Support, and prizes for the raffle would be much appreciated.
It's about more than just coffee, so why not join us in getting together with friends and knowing that your collective efforts are making a huge difference to people affected by cancer.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos to northumberland@ncjmedia.co.uk
